Property Licensing Services
Landlord licensing is a system where local authorities require landlords to obtain a license to rent out their properties. Landlords must ensure they meet certain standards of property safety, services and management. Landlord licensing schemes are put in place to protect tenants and structure a decent level of living conditions.
The Landlord licensing provisions came into force in April 2006 and apply in both England and Wales. Local authorities can take enforcement action if the landlord fails to achieve acceptable management standards.
Landlord licensing can be a minefield, and it is easy to fall short of certain local authorities’ expectations and demands. If you don’t know how to make a licensing application, or compile a successful appeal, then call B-informed for help and support.
